The Toronto Star had an interesting article this week on some sites that let you see things you may not normally get a chance to. I thought I'd pass on some of the ones they listed along with a few more I came across.
- FinchCam lets you watch the birds at play. If you want, you can even choose a musical accompaniment.
- The Earth and Moon viewer lets you zoom in on any spot on the earth or the moon and view satellite images. You can zoom in or pan around the world.
- Compass cam shows live images from cameras along the major highway in Toronto, which is the city I live just ouside of.
- OinkerNet TV has live guinea pig pictures along with information on these little critters.
- The Amazing CowCam will show you Hamburger and Cheeseburger if they are near the salt lick.
- Ginger's Exotic Wolfcam will show you Ginger's wolf compound.
- The Ornagutan cam shows you the orangutans in the National Zoo in washington D.C.
The important thing to remember is that these cameras are live - in most cases - so if you check at night all you are going to see if black. Most of the sites have some archived images for you to view if the subjects are not cooperating.
That's it for now. Come back next week when the subject is kites. Gotta run, the beach is beckoning and the kids are restless so I'm going to run a bit shorter than usual this week.
