Sorry for the delay this week, but I hope these few links will help make up for the delay.

First this week is Poetry Pals: The K12 Student Poetry Publishing Project. The email I got from a second grade teacher -- who is also the site developer describes it this way "Poetry Pals features student poetry from all over the world. Any K12 student or class may join this ongoing project. The website includes forms for writing poetry, definitions of poetic terms, lesson plans for teachers, a fun magnetic poetry game, and links to other child appropriate poetry and project sites".

Another email I received this week takes me to task for not including Spuds Travels in my article about potatoes from last October. This site chronicles the adventures of probably the world's most traveled Mr. Potato Head.

The applet showroom has quite a few fun java applets for you to try. They range from crossword puzzles to Tetris. Another games page with games for even smaller kids is Children's Games at the Baby Web website. Be a bit careful at Baby Web though, there are some pages here that are more appropriate for parents.

If your going to be visiting some museums this year during your summer vacation then a visit to Museums & Learning: A Guide for Family visits is for you.

A few weeks ago I brought you the webpage of a class that hatched emu eggs, this week it's another class that raised Hedgehogs. Lots of good hedgehog information here.

Funorama has some fun activities plus references to books that will supply you with more of the same. Just keep the credit card away from the kids.

Well I hope these sites have got me out of your black books for being late. Another site closer to home you should look at if race cars are your thing is Suite 101's own Nascar Kids page which has been updated this week.

For articles on a Canadian theme visit Canada day on Suite 101. While you're here you should also visit Kids on Suite101. This page gives you pointers to other kid friendly topics and links on Suite 101. There are also lots of great nuggets in my past articles.
