We want you!© Wayne Dawe
This week I'm going to keep things short because I'm taking off on a
trip for a few days.
The Electric Origami Shop from IBM has some cool stuff, puzzles, fractuals and more. Steve Carr's Fun page and the Electronic Zoo Home Page are both worth a visit too. When I was updating the links page I rediscovered Topic in Mathematics archive. To make your searching a little easier you can look at the pages targeted to kindergarten to grade 6 kids here and the references recommended for high school students here. To get these results I used the keywords k6.gif and hs.gif in the search function. Another good thing to remember is that articles marked with the INT or JAVA symbol are interactive and may be more interesting places to start. I need your help. As you may know, you can become a member of Suite 101 by filling out a simple form with your name, address and e-mail. Being a member gets you lots of neat extra features including the ability to subscribe to different topics at Suite101.com. After you subscribe you then get a summary screen that shows new articles, links and discussions in topics you have subscribed to. Sounds great doesn't it? Suite101.com promises not to give out or sell your e-mail address to anyone; it's only used because it's a unique way to identify different people and to make sure people act responsibly when they post in discussion groups. Whether other members can see it or not is up to you. To help entice you to sign up I have gone through all my old articles and added all the Java games I mentioned in the past year to my links section. There are more than just the five links you see at the right hand side but you need to sign up as a member to see them. Before you sign up, though, be sure to check that it's OK with either a parent or teacher. There are two selfish reasons I want you to sign up. Some of us editors are having a contest to see who can sign up the most members in a month and if I'm going to win I need your help. The other reason is because I really want to know what you think about the articles I write and posting to discussions is something you have to be a member to do. So sign up today and post the URL of your favorite Java applet to the Go To Page: 1 2
