Will you be my Valentine? (Part 2)© Wayne Dawe I'm back, how was your week? Mine could have been better - the flu has raced through my family this week but we are almost back to normal now. As I was browsing around this week I found a few more great Valentine's day sites that I'd like to pass on. Valentine Puzzles '98 offers a couple of jigsaw puzzle-like games that I found quite amusing. They have gushy kissing noises and cupid shooting arrows and I found them to be quite cute. If you look around this site you will find some other games developed with Klik'nPlay, a system that claims to allows you to create games without any programming knowledge. Most of the other games available on this site are point-and-click adventure games, though there are a couple of maze and arcade games. This site also has links to resources for hobbyist game developers. If you want to create your own games, this site is certainly worth a visit. The Cool Links List for Kids has lists of cool links collected by kids. They promise that they won't list boring sites and I believe them. They have special lists for both Valentine's day and the Winter Olympics. I wonder if they'll consider me cool enough to link? I hope I'm not too educational for their tastes. Another particularly appropriate site for the Valentine's season is Sign of the X for a Kiss which has an explanation of why you use X's on cards to denote kisses. There is also a linked page that offers an explanation for the genesis of Valentine's day. While cruising through misc.kids I found a pointer to DINObabies. This site has
about 150 DINObaby graphics you can download to spice up your web site,
including a DINObabies
Valentine's day card. I thought one of DINObabies was so cute I decided to put him right here. Just as I was finishing off this article I received an e-mail from the creator of a truly amusing and fun site. Mike Rofone - The Roving Reporter is an investigative reporter who roves the Internet and is also a microphone; hence his name. Click on the large graphic in the top centre of the page to enter this site once you get there. These multi-part stories have links to other interesting places on the Internet. Why am I including this site this week? Well Go To Page: 1 2
