Family Surfing: What I hope to provide for you

© Wayne Dawe

I have undertaken to find places that are safe, informative and fun for children to visit. The explosive growth of the Web means that finding the really worthwhile places on the Web can be a bit hit or miss.

Saying that I'm going to specialize in kids still leaves a huge subject area but I think older kids (tweens and teens) are probably going to search out sites recommended by their peers instead of us old guys. I hope to concentrate on places suitable and interesting to smaller children and their parents. I going to try to stick to one particular area of interest in each article and point you to places to begin your exploration.

It's really important for parents to browse the Web with their kids both to supervise the content they are seeing and to help them with reading the words they don't understand and explaining the concepts that they are having difficulty with.

So now it's time to sit back with your kids and click away, I find that some of the best nuggets I find on the Web are recommended to me by people who have chanced upon them, so if you find something neat please let me know. Enough of me, time to relax and do some

clicking.

Next article, zoo's I like to visit. Have fun.
