More Christmas sites

(Note: The Internet is a dynamic place and web sites can come and go quite quickly. This is one of my older and some of the links may not work anymore. If you find that this is the case I invite you to look at some of my more recent articles. My links section has my favorite links from past articles and is checked regularly for non working links. (links checked Nov. 18, 1998) (Unfortunately time has not been kind to the links on this page, some of the sites have disappeared in the year since this article was published. Don't fret though, there are lots of new fresh links in my 1998 Christmas article)

This week I have a mixed bag of sites for your surfing pleasure. Some new Christmas sites and a few sites from the big Santa bag of just cool sights.

First up is dead link from EXN which runs the Discovery channel in Canada. Christmas Music from Demon Internet in the United Kingdom has some real audio samples of classic Christmas carols with words so you can sing along. Tim's Christmas Page has more Christmas lyrics that you can print out and sing with your friends and family. Dear Santa has Christmas carols - words and music, e-cards and recipes. If you want play the music yourself why not head down to your local music store. For beginning guitar players I suggest Mel Bay's Easy Way Christmas Guitar Folio. My version has 20 familiar Christmas carols with easy chords for beginners. My copy cost $1.50 when I bought it, it lists now for $4.95. Check out Mel Bay's website for other Christmas music books and CD's.

Some time I'll have to write an article about music lessons and how they influenced my life and how Mel Bay's music books. I suspect that there will be more than one musical instrument under the tree this Christmas. If you don't want it to gather dust don't forget a few lessons for the budding musician too.

There are so many Christmas sites out there that only a few are needed to get you clicking away and by their nature most Christmas sites are kid friendly. Just be sure to avoid the sites with Christmas carol parodies as they are invariably quite rude.

The Christmas season is short and to make links maximally available during the week between articles I'll put any new links on
