It's been a really busy month, way too much work to do, walls to fix, places to go, people to see. Here are a few quick sites that have been sent to me by kindly readers.
Got a letter from James, he says "We have created a cool kids site at http://kids.f9.net.uk which is a fun site for kids to play games, print activities, read stories and learn about the net. It's aimed at kids between 4-9 years." I checked it out and throught it was pretty neat. Sandy said "I thought you might like to look at my sites for kids, http://abcteach.com and http://abcbabysit.com . These offer free printable materials for kids and teachers." Thanks Sandy. Tim sent the following "We have a site that I think your visitors would really like: http://www.makingallowances.com Our site helps parents teach kids about money, and is full of great ideas for kids to take control of their financial future. Right now our site is giving away a $200 Mutual fund for the best idea on money management from kids or parents." So now you tell me what you think. I'm a touch bit late on this one, sorry Jamie. Jamie suggests that we " Journey with CARE to Peru: http://www.care.org/virtual_trip/peru/ . Join 10 high school students and CARE on a trip to one of South America's most fascinating countries -- Peru." I've never been to Peru, have you? T.J dropped me a nice note about his site. He wrote "I'd like to invite you and your kids to visit Kids Internet Radio http://www.kir.org and listen to a positive, fun radio show for kids featuring music from around the world hosted by "Brains" and 5-yr-old "Rockin' Rudi T"." Thanks for the head up T.J. Alexandra asked, "I wonder if you might like to review my new site which is gaining a nice following. It is multi lingual, english, spanish, and coming soon in Japanese and French. For children ages 3-7. We hope it catches on. http://www.corypaints.com ." I went, I saw, I liked, I mentioned. Thanks for letting us know Alexandra. Madeline suggested we visit "Art Rights and Wrongs" her website at http://library.thinkquest.org/J001570 She and her teamates have "created a website for the national Thinkquest Junior competition called "Art Rights and Wrongs" to help kids understand the importance of getting permission to use copyrighted material on their websites. Our site was awarded the silver prize in the Art and Literature category. We think that teachers and students will learn a lot about copyrights, trademarks, licenses, counterfeiting and valuing their own art rights as well as the rights of others." Go To Page: 1 2
