Some sites suggested by visitors

(Note: The Internet is a dynamic place and web sites can come and go quite quickly. This is one of my older and some of the links may not work anymore. If you find that this is the case I invite you to look at some of my more recent articles. My links section has my favorite links from past articles and is checked regularly for non working links. Wayne) I've received a few e-mails over the past week with people suggesting sites that they believe are worth your attention. In most cases I agree with them, so here they are. Our funky family website by the Leedlelop family has a page from each member of the family, plus the Funhouse which has a bunch of Shockwave games. Anyone who has visited my kid's page know that I like web pages with music, this one has a different tune on each page. A word of warning: Dad is into hunting so if you don't want to see pictures of deer in the back of the pickup, avoid Dad's page. For older kids (and adventurous adults) Bikesters has articles about crime-solving motorcycle racers. It reminded me a bit of the Hardy Boys (now I'm dating myself). The stories are illustrated with comic book style drawings - no speech ballons though. Romuald's website is based on the cartoon reindeer of the same name. Romuald also has a CD-ROM you can buy so be prepared for a bit of a sales job. You can try out at least one the the CD-ROM games and explore a little bit of Romuald's world. With Christmas fast approaching, Romuald is a thousand times better than Power Rangers. A while back I wrote an article about art gallery sites that you might want to visit. I got e-mail this week from Global Children's art gallery. This site features pictures sent in by kids from different parts of the world. Each drawing has a picture of the flag of the state and country of the kid who sent it in. Now it's my turn. As anyone who has read more than one of these articles knows, I'm a real Java booster. I found another cool Java applet this week. Kaleidoscope applet has a kaleidoscope for you to play with along with some smaller and larger ones on connected pages. One last link is The Grey Havens which bills itself as the ultimate J.R.R. Tolkein web site. Somehow I missed this one in my Tolkein article so I decided to remedy the oversight.
