April showers bring May websites© Wayne Dawe
Welcome back everyone, I hope you had a good Easter. Time to pass on
some more fun sites.
Want to see how the Earth and moon look from other cities, the sun and lots more than check out Earth and Moon Viewer. Virtual Archaeology is the science of using a computer to model what ancient sites looked like and to fill in where data is missing. The Virtual Archaeology Exhibit covers how and why virtual archaeology is used and includes links to sites with virtual aechaeology samples. Gorillas Online has a wide variety of information and photographs of gorillas. The Natural History section includes information on where gorillas are found in the wild and how few of them are left. I found out about this site from Netsites. Figure This! Math Challenge for Families* is a series of real-world questions aimed at kids especially older ones. Math is required to find the solutions so parents may have to help out a bit which makes this a great family activity. ScI-Journal is an award- winning on-line publication where you can read work done by school and college students. All the articles published have been produced by students, often as part of classes in school or college work. Check it out. The nice people at Squiglysplayhouse.com sent me an email asking if I'd link to their site. I checked it out and voila! here it is. Squigly's is a children's playhouse on the internet. It has games, puzzles, arts and crafts, jokes and riddles and lots more. Let me know what you think. Well that's it for this month, if you have any great sites to recommend send me an email and I'll look them over. Go To Page: 1
