Lots of sites to visit, hope you forgive me© Wayne Dawe
This month I received a nice email from the folk at Ticklebugs.com inviting me to check
out their website. They offer an online version of their book which I
thought was quite amusing and entertaining. Check it out yourself and
let me know what you think. Slylock Fox is one of the comics carried in
our local paper but I never thought to check to check out his website until I got another email,
this time ftom the cartoonist himself. If oyu have seen the comic in the
paper you'll know what to expect, if you haven't I'm sure you'll find
the trip worthwhile.
My kids love Blue's Clues even though it supposed to be for preschoolers. The official Blue's Clue's page is at http://www.nickjr.com/ a good unofficial site can be found here. I came across a site that was a little bit different recently. This site has X-ray images of flowers. I thought they were pretty neat with the subtle black and white pictures. Now a few sites from comp.internet.net-happenings If you are planning to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday, March 2nd, here are a few sites to get you started.
Learning Planet is where kids preschool thru sixth grade can play online interactive games that are educational and fun. There is a growing set of games that include pre-reading games, counting games, a math facts practice game, a new twist on a memory style concentration game, a brick-ball game with a baseball theme, and more. Gamelan: Java Sites for Education a list of over 1200 Java-based instructional games and programs for students in grades K-12; they vary in quality, but there are some real gems to be found Visit this and previous Sites-of-the-School Day by going to the following page - http://discoveryschool.com/schrockguide/... and clicking on a date! (from Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators) The weather has become so warm here that all the snow has melted and there will be no icerink at my house this year. To make up for this I submit: All About Glaciers "A glacier site with something for everyone from glaciologists to grade school students:
