Time to get a little frivolous so this month the topic is sea monkeys. For those of you who don't know, sea monkeys are little, tiny, almost microscopic shrimps that were (and may still be for all I know) sold on the back of comic books when I was a kid. The ads were the ultimate in misleading advertising as they showed cute little smiling creatures in a family group which had no bearing on reality or what sea monkeys really looked like.

Sea monkeys are alive and well on the Web and the queen of all sea monkey pages is The Sea Monkey Worship Page. The related page Sea Monkey on the World Wide Web has links to may sea monkey pages. Another much less sophisticated sea monkey simulation can be found at Sea Monkeys - Artificial life Online. One of the official homes of sea monkeys is Sea Monkeys at Moose Toys. This site has instructions on how to grow sea monkeys (if you have the official sea monkey kit) and how to teach them tricks.
