Raccoon in the attic, a modern fairy tale

someplace else. Pretty soon the attic smelled like moth balls, the smell was so bad that the raccoon couldn't smell anything else but the moth balls. As soon as it got dark the raccoon decided that it was just too bright, noisy and smelly to stay in this attic and climbed out of the hole and found a nice quiet tree to live in. The boys could hear the raccoon climbing out of the attic and jumping off of the roof and knew that the raccoon had left for good.

The next day the boys sent their Dad up the ladder into the attic to remove light, radio and the smelly moth balls and to block up the hole the raccoon had used to get into the attic.

If you liked my fairy tales you can find links to other fairy tale sites at Stories and Fairy tale Theme page". For more information on raccoons and some nice raccoon pictures Karens Raccoon page is quite nice. Raccoons and other wild animals can carry rabies. Always find a responsible adult or parent before you go near any wild animal you may find especially if the animal isn't afraid of you. More info on moths can be found at Moths of North America which actually focuses on US moths. Other moth and bug stuff can be found at Bug Sites.

Hope this little tail was worth the wait. Come back next month when I promise to be on time and surprise you with more fun web sites.
