Happy New Year, What I did on my Christmas vacation.

Well, another year has come and gone and already I'm late with my article. I have a good excuse though, I just came back from a week at my wife's parent in Ottawa. Ottawa is the place with the red dot on the map and is the capital of Canada. My three boys enjoyed visiting with the grandma and grandpa. Mother Goose will read you more of her stories at the Internet Public Library.

On the road between Toronto and Ottawa we pass the Big Apple Restaurant which should not be confused with this more famous big apple. We went over to my sister-in-laws house and played Scrabble. My oldest son got a handheld version of Connect 4 which turned out to be very popular with the adults too.

Steven got a radio-controlled car and liked it so much that he took it to bed with him the first day he got it.

Just at the end of our vacation my wife and I went to see the newest Star Trek movie. This site makes extensive use of Shockwave Flash technology.

I received some Christmas updates from some sites I have mentioned in the past - Spud, the World's most traveled Potato Head has had some more adventures since we last visited him. Wawa and Kwala also sent me e-mail about their Christmas page which I received too late to tell you about last month. Be sure to give their site a visit and tour through their stories and games.

If you're looking for a movie to attend with your kids - or parents - Steve Rhodes has released his top ten kids movie list for '98.

Just a few more things before I go. It has finally got cold enough where I live to consider starting my skating rink but... we still don't have enough snow for me to make the banks around the edges.
