running a contest for holiday web sites designed by kids, but you better hurry because the contest closes December 10th.

I almost forgot to include at least one advent calendar ToonaCat.com has a nice one that reveals ornaments as the days go by. They also have black and white ornament drawings you can print out and colour yourself.

Extra, extra A late addition is Sidewalk Santa which also has a nice advent calander that reveals fun activities.

Before I finish I have to update my article on Making a skating rink from last year. The weather is starting to get colder again and I have received e-mail from a few people who are already planning their rinks for this year. Jim Stoller at www.nicerink.com offers a rink liner product and a tool that you can attach to your garden hose to help resurface the rink. I haven't tried either of these products personally but invite anyone who has or does it the future to drop me a line and let me know how they work out. Ken Lee has a site dedicated to the Riverside Rink project. His rink is a little bigger than my rink that wasn't and he has also amassed quite a good collection of ice rink building web sites. Unfortunately, it is 18 C here today (about 64 F) so it may be a while before I get my rink started. I'll keep you updated on its progress throughout the winter.

That's it for this now. See you next month.
