Christmas Comes But Once a Year

© Wayne Dawe

Welcome to this month's article which focuses on sites to bring you Christmas joy, plus an update on building your own skating rink.

How the Grinch stole Christmas is one of my favorite Christmas cartoons. MGM has some video and audio clips to whet your appetite and if you missed the annual showing of this Christmas classic, they will let you order either the video or DVD at their on-line store. After you have watched the movie or read the story you can try the WWW Grinch Quiz. After you have completed the quiz you can have the test results mailed back to you. animationimages. com has a nice picture from near the end of the story that you can see at their site.

Now to get away form the Grinch I am going to give you some of the good general Christmas sites I found in my Internet wanderings. Sleepy Haven's Christmas Celebration has a good mix of Christmas content with Christmas midis and festive backgrounds, including links to Christmas crafts and a nice version of Christmas story. I also liked the Int eractive Night before Christmas story. Christmas Links for English Language learners has a listing of good Christmas sites that even those who already have a good grasp of English will enjoy. I particularly liked the 5 Geokids Christmas activity pages.

Scott's Christmas Playground is also worth a look, as is Christmas - A Christmas Card, which has Christmas cards and stories.

To round out the Christmas sites I'm going to refer you to a couple of sites that have Christmas midis. Midi Files of Christmas carols has midi files, English, Japanese and Korean words, plus an assortment of links to other Christmas sites. Another site just chock-full of Christmas midis is Jack's Shack. Jack has hundreds of Christmas midi's including 16 different versions of The First Noel. Jack's Shack is the site where the midi for my homepage comes from. I invite you to drop by, see my festive Christmas background, listen to the tunes and try out the Christmas maze.

There are so many Christmas sites out there I can only just touch the surface but I invite you to submit your favorites either by e-mail or by adding them to the discussion at the bottom of this page. If you need Christmas graphics, then the Christmas Gif Shoppe might be just for you. This site is also
