Valentine's Day Links

Are you ready for Valentine's Day, kids?

I sure am. It's a happy holiday and I can hardly wait.

Do you have your cards ready? How about some links to make your own cards or host your own party?

Kids Domain has a great valentine party page: http://www.kidsdomain.com/holiday/val/pa... - you should have lots to keep you and your friends busy here. If you want to make a valentine or do some crafts, perhaps make a gift for a special friend, go here: http://www.kidsdomain.com/craft/_val-cra... - oh, the fun! I especially like this craft that just requires a pipe cleaner and some red beads: http://www.kidsdomain.com/craft/tribeadh... .

Here's a link to a Valentine party article: http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/part... from our Party Planning editor, Cynthia Roesner.

Do you like to make your own valentine gifts?

Here's a great heart valentine you can make for your friends, a valentine backpack heart: http://childfun.com/modules.php?name=New... - I really like this one, too.

Why not color, then cut out these valentines: http://www.akidsheart.com/holidays/valnt... ?

If that was fun for you, you might want to print this heart, http://www.akidsheart.com/holidays/valnt... - then cut out, write your valentine message and decorate the edges with glue and red-hot candies? Or just get a piece of tinfoil, pour on some glue, mix in red food coloring with a toothpick and decorate with more hearts - use a paintbrush! Is that fun, or what?

How about a word game?

I didn't have much luck with this game. Maybe you can do better: http://www.storyit.com/wgames/valworddro... - to win, you need to unscramble the letters and make a word before it gets to the bottom of the screen.

I'm getting hungry. How about you? Here's something fun to do - make a couple of extras and eat one before you serve the rest to your guests: http://www.billybear4kids.com/holidays/v...

If you'd like to spend more time getting ideas for things you want to do for your valentine or Mom or Dad, then go to this site: http://www.amazingmoms.com/htm/valentine... . I especially like the valentine pencil you can make. There's a "photo heart" valentine that would be neat for Mom or Dad. Ask them to take you to the craft store to get a few supplies.

Well, if you don't want to go with them to the store to get supplies, here's something you can do that will be a BIG hit with Mom and Dad and they will love it. Make a coupon book. All you need is paper, a pencil, some scissors and a stapler: http://www.activitiesforkids.com/holiday... . Do one for a special friend, too.
