It will soon be Thanksgiving, but I can hardly wait for Christmas. How about you? I bet you have been busy visiting the Christmas links in my last article. But guess what? I found a new site that will keep you busy for days.
This website that will get you in the holiday spirit: Merry Christmas from St. Mary's School, http://www.fvsd.ab.ca/stm/christmas_site... . Join me there and see what's happening. For starters, there's a link to General Christmas sites, like Reader's Digest, Christmas Freebies, an Elf Cam at Santa's Workshop, a recipe for Snowman Soup and more - 22 links just on this one page! You'll find 15 links to Christmas stories and poems. (Teachers: there are 18 links to themes and lesson plans.) Will you ever be popular with the other kids when you tell them about this site. I like crafts and art; there are 15 links at this site to get you going on some creative fun. You might make an egg carton tree, reindeer magnet, shredded-wheat wreath, candy cane reindeer - who knows what you might do! Your friends might like some cornstarch clay dough, and you might want to make Rice Crispie Christmas trees for your Christmas Eve party. Maybe you will make your own Christmas gifts this year. If you just want to "veg" out and color, there are 20 links to activity and coloring pages. You may also want to mail an email to Santa while you are at it. As if that's not enough (by now you could be busy the rest of the year), there are ten music links. I'm singing. Can you hear me? (Teachers, there are seven Christmas concert sites.) How about fourteen other links just for kids? I recognize the Black Dog site from last week. Did you go there? Wasn't it fun? Your parents might like to see what you are up to, so if you want to include them, there are also five sites just for parents, like a link to the toys that won the Family Fun award last year. We don't want to leave Mom and Dad out, do we? There are 18 Christmas around the World links. There are eight Christmas in Canada links, four Kwanzaa links, fifteen Hanukkah sites, and seven religious and traditional sites. If you get in the mood to cook some more, there are 14 recipe links. The whole family can get involved at the 12 Christmas Fun for Everyone links. All at the one link above.
