Christmas and Other Holiday Sites for Kids, Part I

I'm getting excited! Christmas is just a little over a month away and I am already seeing lots of toys, games and books in the stores. Are you? There are also a lot of Christmas sites on the Internet. I'm going to share some of my favorite ones.

Let's start out with some fun sites. Brandon told his grandma, Mary, that this is a great site : http://www.northpole.com . There are lots of games to play in Santa's Secret Village. Be sure to send Santa a letter while you're there. You can even send your friends an animated postcard. Print out story pages to color, and on and on. There's just so much to do here you will be at this site for a long time.

If you like to color, there are a lot more Christmas pages to color and other activities at this site: http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/christm... . There are also Christmas crafts, mazes and puzzles. Take a look around.

Do you like to do crafts from things you find around the house for Christmas, winter or Hanukkah? Then, this site is for you: http://www.zoomschool.com/crafts/christm... - there are lots of neat things to do here.

You'll find instructions to trace around your hands and feet and make a paper reindeer or a wreath. Make a little paper box to put your gift in. There are even some printable books. We have lots of pinecones around; there are instructions for making a pinecone tree. (If you are a teacher, this site is great for activities for your students.)

I just built a snowman with Black Dog. Would you like to join me? Go to http://www.blackdog.net/holiday/christma... . Click on Billy Beaver's Game Show for action games, mazes, word games, etc. There's a lot to see and do here: http://www.blackdog.net/billy.html .
