I have a whole mess of great sites for you this week. But first I must correct one grave omission. A few weeks ago when I wrote about spiders I missed one great spider resource. Spiders resource page is part of Gander Academy theme pages. They have lots of other great theme pages too.
If weather is your bag then have I got a site for you. kidzweather is a site that any kid interested in the weather should check out. If you want weather theme activities for music, science and social studies then this is the place to go. With additional weather related links you can keep out of trouble here for a time. If you visit this site you may recognize the check it out graphic as originating from this page. I've mentioned the Math Forum website before and I'll probably mention it again. Famous problems in the history of Mathematics is just what the title says. Most of this is probably too advanced for smaller kids but even they can try puzzling out the Bridges of Konigsburg. Back to the bugs we go with Meet the Beetles has a Beetle puzzle that you can put together. After you've done that you can move onto more activities in Discovery Room Online which is part of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History Website. The final site for this week is Remote Access On-line Science Experiment. It may be a mouthful but don't let that scare you off. Try one of the two experiments - one for little kids and one for big kids. Examine the data, draw conclusions and discuss your results. I hope that's enough to keep you out of trouble for now. If it isn't you can try some of my past articles or Kids on Suite 101 which has links to other kid friendly topics on Suite 101. See you next Tuesday. Go To Page: 1
