Y2K Watercraft - A Buyer's Guide

Yamaha provides specifications, videos, press reviews and competitive comparisons for each of its 8 Y2K watercrafts. Yamaha touts the new 155 horsepower WaveRunner GP 1200R as the most powerful high-performance watercraft on the planet . The new WaveRunner XL800 is a three-seater that combines the high-performance engine of the WaveRunner GP800 with the hull design of the XL1200.

Personal Watercraft Illustrated has compiled its annual Buyer's Guide for the new 2000 model watercrafts. The watercrafts are listed by Brand or Capacity (four-seaters, three-seaters, two-seaters and one-rider stand-ups). They also include contact information for the four manufacturers. For each of the watercrafts, PWI gives detailed information, including the list price, warranty information, color picture, dimension & capacity, hull & components, engine, drive system, electrical, instrumentation, and fuel & lubrication. While there are no reviews or comparisons of the PWCs, their site is extremely useful and easy to read for a quick comparison between different manufacturers and models.

Ehlert Powersports Media also features an article entitled What's New? Entering the New Millennium with New and Improved Buying Options with overview information on what is new this year for each of the four manufacturers. There is also a small picture of each craft with the dimensions, price and information on propulsion, capacity and equipment.
