The Internet also provided a way to "escape" from the pains of today. I, personally, turned to writing friends and several of my games to find something else to focus my energies on. I read about the latest movies or watched the next best short Internet film… or better yet, watched the Lord of the Rings trailer again.
Life seems to be returning to "normal" again, whatever that means these days. As we move forward in life, it's impressive how much our lives are affected by the Internet and what we can find there.
