Sharing: Countries in Transition


sponsors which will subsidize the price of intellectual property in order to make it affordable to the denizens of poor countries. Such sponsors could be either multi-lateral institutions (such as the World Bank) - or charities and donors. I'd like to take a moment to thank Dr. Vaknik for sharing his time with me in helping to understand the impacts of the Internet on other countries. Dr. Sam Vaknin has lived all over Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans (Russia, Czech Republic, Yugoslavia and Macedonia). In 1993-94, he co-owned Israel's largest (privatized) database company, controlling over 80% of the Israel Internet market.
