Ignore the Heat - Play Some Games!

It's July and it's HOT (for a lot of us anyway). Who wants to do anything when you are sweaty and miserable? Once you are in a foul mood it kind of affects how much time you want to spend playing games. THEREFORE, as always, I have found a quick solution for you this month. Here I present a site where you will only need to do a couple of clicks and guesses and that's it! Before you know it, you may convince yourself that you really are in the mood to kill some time.

This month I'd like to introduce you to Big Prizes.com, another one of those earn-to-win sites. First, as with most sites, you must register to play the games if you want to keep a running count of your tokens. You MUST be a registered member to enter their prize drawings. (Keep in mind that if you just want to play you don't have to register.) I usually only give the information that is required and nothing more. And uncheck some boxes to make sure you don't get too much junk email!

I started at this site by playing the scratch and win games. I played three of them - "Macho Matcho Man", "Money Match Scratch", and "Electro Scratch". You can play each card game up to 5 times an hour. It's java enabled and easy to play. Plus I won about 4500 points (this coming from someone who never wins). The payouts include points ranging from 500 - 10,000, gift certificates to CDNow.com, and cash! Match three prizes and you are a winner!

Bigprizes.com also offers a beta version of their multi-player quiz game "Quizzerk". This is a fairly fast moving game that does not penalize you for giving wrong answers. There are 5 categories to choose: General Knowledge, That's Entertainment, Armchair Athletic Bowl, Time and Places, Fine Arts Café, and Like Science Eh! I didn't try it but Voice Chat is also available with this game.

For you casino lovers out there, this site has a variety of games: Slots, Blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Video Poker, Roulette, and Craps. I just loaded up the blackjack game but wasn't too impressed with it. I could not tell what my wager was and so I was just kind of playing blindly. Also, I somehow managed to pop up the payout screen and am not really sure how that happened either. PLUS the odds seem to be as bad as at a real casino so if you are not in a hurry to lose your points, don't try the game!
