E-mail Entertainment - Bringing the Playground to Your In-Box

By now you've learned a little bit about the playground and you've seen that some places might require you to put in some extra time to really enjoy the fun. But with today's busy lifestyles and work schedules, it's sometimes hard to get the amount of quality fun time you need on a daily basis. You may even find yourself going through "fun withdrawal". Well have no fear - the internet playground's e-mail entertainment is here!

E-mail entertainment allows you to bring a bit of the playground right to your very own in-box. So far I have found two types of these goodies: marketing surveys and special offers/promotions. Let's talk about the surveys first. These are really cool ways to learn a little about how the marketing process works and to possibly earn some cash for your time! This is how it happens: first visit the site of your choice (the three I have listed are: Greenfield Online, American Consumer Opinion, and ithink inc.) I know that there are other options out there but I have won some things from these sites and to me that means that they are interested in my participation. Each site will ask you to fill out a registration form and then based on the info that you provide, you will receive qualification surveys that match your interests. The announcement will come via e-mail and then you follow directions and fill out the survey! I think that this is good enough for a quick playground fix, don't you?

The second type, special offers and promotions, is something that I think is a very creative marketing tool. The site I'd like to direct your attention to is MyPoints.com. After visiting the site and filling out the registration form, you will begin to receive offers and incentives via e-mail. Information about special offers available to MyPoints members (such as discounts on internet purchases, membership subscriptions, free things) will come directly to your in-box and the best part is, each time you participate, you accumulate points that can be redeemed for things like gift certificates, magazine subscriptions, etc. Before you get involved, check out the site and find out what items you can redeem your points for. I think you'll find that this is yet another way that spending time at the playground can be fun AND rewarding.
