Mediatrip (http://www.mediatrip.com) has scored another creative triump in “Election Phone Calls,” an Internet movie satirizing the final days of the American presidential contest. I know you may be tired of this issue (or non-issue), but it’s a nice, entertaining way of looking back at what was one of the ugliest moments in American politics. This Internet Movie, by the way, has only stills for visuals such as photos of who’s talking on the phone, but in there lies the genius of Chris Cox who voiced the whole thing (yes, the voices of George Senior, W, Gore and Clinton) and Tom Brunelle, Chris’ co-writer for this project.

What is so nice with Mediatrip site is that there’s no such messy signing up before you can watch the featured films (aside from the fact that they’re free, of course). You can proceed to the site and watch the movie right away (http://www.mediatrip.com/shows/phone_fla...

The movie is broken into five different modules representing phone conversations between George and Gore (the retracted concession, remember?); George, Bill, and Gore; George and W; George Senior and Gore (surprised?); and, George and Gore (final call). This is just so funny, complete with shooting matches and bedwetting in the background (guess who?).

What are Internet Movies?

Of course, Internet Movies are shorties but goodies you can watch for free on the Net. They run typically around five to fifteen minutes and are only available on the Net. One nice thing about these productions is that the subjects they cover are usually personal stuff, and if not that, subjects that are uncommon, even bizarre or call them weird. This is certainly a big break from Mother Hollywood where you find mostly formula stuff, and the stuffs that are known to work for the most profit-bankable audiences.

Internet Movies aren't that hungry for profits. After all, they are offered for free viewing. Pay-per-view, surprisingly, has not happened yet in this increasingly profit-hungry part of the world. Internet Movies also offer several free choices for viewing. You can use the reliable, free RealPlayer which is available for viewing or streaming right away or you can download it to your PC and watch it later (the freeze-then-microwave concept). All these gadgets can be had for free by going through the links I have for you on Internet Movies, courtesy of course, of Suite101 (http://www.suite101.com, search keyword Internet Movies).
