Watch this Internet Movie at work during your break, or at home when you need some diversion in your life. It will make you laugh. If you have been following up my coverage of Internet Movies here at Suite101, you probably know already that this genre is gaining ground very fast and may even become a serious industry, which may compete in the future with Hollywood.
Amazingly, Internet Movies are free to watch and are very easy to watch. For example, when you go to IFilm (http://www.ifilm.com, search word: Night of the Living Lust) where you can view a lot of these films, all you need is a member registration and if you already have RealPlayer, Microsoft Media Player, or Quicktime Player, you can watch any film immediately. Just one tip: use Microsoft Internet Explorer. Using Netscape to visit and watch short films at IFilm will put you in a maze of download suggestions which can leave you empty-handed, and worse, make you pay for a movie player when it should be free. Night of the Living Lust runs for only 2 minutes and 53 seconds, so you can finish this even during your 5-minute break at work. The movie was written, directed and produced by Ken Nared who like me is also a Contributing Editor here at Suite101 (way to go, Ken!). The movie takes on the approach of the Robocop movie most of us love so much. The movie dwells on what happens when viagra falls in the wrong hands, say, it is accidentally mixed in a new fertilizer and sprayed by mistake on a graveyard. You can fill in the blanks there, but I suggest you see the movie for yourself before you rush to any conclusions. I love the use of music in this movie. I also wish it were longer and that there were more people in the cast. The idea, after all, is funny enough that a little more extension will not hurt (unless you’re working on a budget). But that is saying too much, right? After all, I’m not this film’s director. And besides, Internet Movies are a very personal medium. As such, it allows the maker to present his very personal views on the subject. In this sense, Internet Movies are a radical alternative to Hollywood, and Independent Films (the so-called Indies) or Cinema Verite carried to the extreme. Since it’s a personal expression, anything goes. Hey, we’re only watching it; and we’re not paying for it, either. By the way, viewers have rated this movie a 9.8 so it shouldn’t be a waste of time (what’s three minutes anyway?). Go To Page: 1 2
