Voice of the people!

© Robert Kaso

We are used to say and think that people do not have their own will, that the nation do not has a common goal and there is no possibility to raise as one in difficult times. From history we learn that the Jews in Egypt, French in 1790-s, European nations in 1848, the Nazis, the soviets etc. were one in their will and action. But I think only the school history book writes so. One may say that outstanding persons, about who we learn from history, make history! But where to find today's history-makers? Are they today's politicians, sportsmen, artists? Not certainly, as people should be in charge of their lives. So an outstanding person is the embodiment of collective will. These people are among us; only the time makes them "seen" different. An upheaval is the result of the collision of interest. It is not a secret that different social classes exist even today in the globalized society. So they have different influence and interests. When interests or their part coincide the unity of efforts creates harmony in society (that probably never existed), when there is miss understanding social havoc begins. The beginning of such havoc is kind of a chaos that steadily reaches organized forms and develops a rules and strategy. Fight for influence (or rights - as you wish) begins. A combat among number and quality (or the people and the decision makers). The result is a consolidation (if the number seems to win the struggle). That mean that decision makers give certain obligations, rights and freedoms, but remain to rule the people. So in general nothing changes, but the color of voice. Nowadays we are taught that every one of us (people) has a right to participate in decision-making process! Is it really so? Or maybe those from us (people) who get the right to make decision became one of them? The idea - that quantity transforms into quality - remains an idealistic idea, which is a plot for further talks and intrigues!
