What's Next After Human Rights?

© Robert Kaso

Time after time we come back to the cold war conflict. In all previous articles we could find out that human rights are bond to politics, so international human rights to world politics. Therefore the respect for human rights is a strategic element in political planning and search for influence! It is a top condition for any negotiation for any document to sign. But we face the fact that these conditions are violated by the “founders” themselves- it happens mainly when they try to talk from the position of power.

We may blame or praise the USSR, but being on the defensive they used their social background to fight back against the entire world. They pointed out that as the first socialist state in the world, the “first” country that was found for the people and from the people (and it sounded correctly in the beginning of the 20th century) sets an example for peace and friendship. It is also known that it’s not true but at least it was a prestigious image on the international arena and constantly added confidence for the people (so longevity for the soviet government).

Now back to the date! Day by day we face outrage and violence (on TV, on the street in the movie) and finally it roots in our minds as an example for behavior. The respect for the rights of others fails and the animal instinct develops. These processes are rather chaotic than pre-planned. These actions hit back like a boomerang, as our actions are motivated by the search for the money (for the truce?) by all means (sometimes including violence).

In previous articles we emphasized the role of the governments in world politics and their destructive role (it is not the position of an anarchist, but rather a nihilist). So let us turn now more direct. Whom do governments consist from? “We suppose that from us”- at least democracy says it should be so. That’s why we are responsible for the world processes. Not only the wealthy nations but also every person on the globe! Why? Because if we talk about development and globalization and interdependence than we also should understand that from our behavior and political participation etc. depends the behavior and political participation, well-being of other (even for us unknown) nations and people, so the future of the globe. These democracy should help us to understand that everybody has at least so many rights and freedoms than we have, and also the fact that if we want to receive something from others we should take certain obligations.
