Lex Domicile!Lex Domicile! Nowadays there are disputes about the faith of criminals. Ones are protected by international laws other are indicted by them! How can it be? Where is the truth? All we have to say that it’s about politics (power and influence) and money. Yes it is about war crimes and crimes against humanity! As always there are goodies and baddies, the saviors of peace and democracy and the bad terrorists (used to be Marxists and communists). It looks like a game that rolls through centuries only the actors change sometimes. The Game of Powers? Ok. But what for? Who benefits? If it’s all about democracy then law is applied for everybody! No exceptions are considered. But as there is no ideal system, no democracy- so the game is also not for the common man. There are three “big” political cases that are in mind! Pinochet, Lockerby and Slobo (from now on). What’s different what’s common? No certain answer could be given. We may regard the Pinochet and the Slobo case as quite similar. Both of them are about extradition. But if the first one is a real on absolute legal bases the second is a breaking the idea of national state. The idea that state was founded to protect its citizens, we suggest even if this citizen is accused of misuse of authority (allegedly war crimes). Both of them say they have forked for the people of their country, but the result is not adequate for humanity (as there is no leading nation in the world). Pinochet, firs of all was accused not for the thousands of Chilean souls but for a handful of Spanish victims. Not if the death of one single human doesn’t matter, contrary the role of the state is to protect each of its citizens regardless of time or issue (as Spain did). But what is about Milosevic. First of all he is accused by the USA, EU and other IGO (NATO, CoE, UN), which could be blamed as aggressors themselves. So if the neighbors of Serbia (BiH, Croatia) do not persist on his extradition, why to bother? Once again Pinochet is a dictator who came into power through a coupe d’étate, Milosevic on the contrary was elected by his own people (but true tried to size power). In the theory of history there is a phenomena as the predetermination of history. It was so with Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Hitler. Probably it was so in this case too. Milosevic represented the dream of a Serb; he showed the core value of each person- the predominance of the nation.
