One of the greatest challenges that you must face when dealing with infertility is the callous and sometimes unintentionally cruel remarks of your family and friends. They do not mean to be this way but it is hard to comprehend the pain and anguish of infertility or the loss of a child if you have never dealt with it. It is hard for them to even understand the basic concept that "relaxing and being patient" does not cure infertility or that silence is not always best for a grieving parent. Hannah's Prayer Ministries recognize that this is a genuine problem and that it does not need to be. They are creating a site just for the friends and family of the fertility-challenged. Tips for Family and Friends is a page dedicated to helping your loved ones understand how to better help you. This section contains personal tips donated by Hannah's Prayer members, suggestions on ways to help and recommended reading for family members. Having heard more than my share of "maybe this was God's plan" and "I wish I had such a problem"I find this section a blessing! I hope that the friends and family of these couple will take advantage of this wonderful resource.
It is very easy to get discouraged when dealing with fertility challenges. There are weeks where you daily have to remind yourself that all the tests or all of the pain are worth it. It is at these times when we most need inspiration. The creators of Hannah's Prayer have been through these times too. That is why they created a pages full of inspirational stories, bible verses, and prayers. As a Christian I know that personally I find great restoration and peace of spirit in prayer. These are prayers especially for peace and restoration in dealing with fertility challenges. Bible verses are actually studies on the lives of Hannah and her son Samuel. Her life and the life of her son are an inspiration to every women who has dealt with infertility.
When dealing with ferility challeges, many medical dilemmas and problems arise. A major one of the dilemmas comes from just trying to understand everything the doctor is talking about. All of those tests and problems to look for can be overwhelming. Hannah's Prayer has compiled a page of medical links to help you deal with the overflow of information that seems to flood in. The links on this page give you the opportunity to clarify some of the information for yourself. Researching for answers can help you retake control of something that is basically out of your control.
