Wanting Another Child

You already have one child, be grateful! Be patient it will happen! Just keep trying! Don't you think you are being selfish, some people don't even have that! Have you heard these phrases? If you have most likely your like me...facing secondary infertility. In most cases of secondary infertility you already have one, two, or more children. Then one day, out of the blue, infertility sneaks up on you. Most likely you are confused wondering what changed. You had no problem conceiving your other children. Why should this be any different? But it is! Is there something odd about you? Are you the only one? NO!

Wanting Another Child or WAC is a mailing list of people just like you. Most other infertility mailing lists are full of women facing primary infertility so you have to be careful not to mention your child! Not with this list. This list was made just for those of us with secondary infertility, so we can discuss those issues unique to this problem. Members of WAC have varying experiences and different ways of looking at things. They discuss everything from husbands hiding from the truth to the children we do have and their desire for siblings. Some of these women have been dealing with infertility for only a few months and some of them having been coping for years.They are all more than willing to share their joys,disappointments and experiences with each other.Some days you will want to cry for each other and with each other. But then there are the days when one of these wonderful women actually conceives! The joy and hope you will feel for yourself and the others is wonderful! Most important of all though is that through it all they manage to keep each other hopeful. Most will sign their letters with "Keeping +++++ Thoughts" reminding each other that there is hope!

I joined this mailing list myself a few weeks ago. These women have been wonderful. They are extremely warm and welcoming. We all have had bad weeks and times we need to vent but at these times the other women are very patient, understanding and uplifting. It is just a very open, kind environment.
