I had been searching everywhere on the web for a personal webpage that provided more than just links and the same old information. I didn't want a professional organization. Just a page that had been put together by a couple that had fought the same struggle against infertility that most of us are fighting now. This search was harder than I thought. Just when I was about to give up I stumbled across SCOTT AND JANELL'S INFERTILITY & PCOS SUPPORT PAGE

Though full of great information this site was not put together by medical professionals. It was put together by a couple who wasted 3 years on ineffectual treatments and Doctors who didn't run the right tests. This site was put together to help us educate ourselves so we know what is being done to us and we can make informed decisions.

The first thing they do is give you general infertility advice. This page is full of common sense steps to dealing with infertility. Though common sense some of these are things you wouldn't realize on your own. For example most people think that you would stay with your ob/gyn for fertility treatment. Though this is possible to do, it is better to find a fertility specialist. Also, this page reminds you that this is your body and your treatment. If you don't agree with a treatment you have the power to say no and you have the power to ask questions! Question everything because this is your future and your child that is in the balance. They even share the letter they sent to their HMO that was effective in getting them to act on Janell's behalf.

How (and When)To Get Diagnosed is an informative page that tells you step by step how to know when it is time to seek the help of a specialist. One of the key things they tell you is not to panic. A normal couple with no fertility problems can take about a year to conceive. They take you year by year. Now remember they aren't medical professionals and this schedule can vary from person to person. Especially if you have preexisting conditions such as endomitriosis. This page also dispels some of the misconceptions of conceiving and infertility.

The biggest step of infertility is finding out exactly what the problem is. There are many tests that ca be done to help diagnose the cause of your infertility. This couple has take the time to list the main tests in order of cost for you. They also tell you about the test
