after retrieval. Transfer consists of usually taking the number of embryos that you and your
RE choose and using ultrasonic guidance to "drop" them into the uterus and wait for implantation.
Almost every clinic will recommend 48 hours of light activity. My RE's office recommends 24
hours of bed rest and then another 48 hours of light activity. Depending upon the date of
transfer anywhere from 10-14 days post transfer you will go in and have a beta done to find
out if you are pregnant or not.
ICSI- A rather new technology that gives couples with severe male factor hope of having biological children. The process is done by an embryologist. One healthy sperm is taken and injected right into the egg. It does not guarantee fertilization but it takes the chances for some from 0% to at least 50%.
So there you go, all the knowledge in my tiny brain. I hope that this helps you make decisions about where you can go with your treatment.
