Most of the items can be found online and I’ve made a “Shopping for Indiana Jones” category in the links section of this topic.
* Indiana Jones Giftset - This is the VHS, widescreen gift pack that comes with all three Indiana Jones films. Since the DVDs of the trilogy are not available, it is currently the best version to buy for home viewing. The widescreen effect preserves the image of the films in their entirety. The videos have also been digitally remastered with Lucasfilm's THX process. The tapes come in a nifty giftbox and can be for the diehard or casual fan of the Indiana Jones trilogy.
* The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones - This is the VHS format of the early 1990s television series featuring Indiana Jones as a teen-ager. It chronicles his adventures around the globe, thrusting him into action and incorporating him into events throughout history. There are 12 videos available. They include: Spring Break Adventure, Trenches of Hell, The Phantom Train of Doom, Oganga, The Giver and Taker of Life, Attack of the Hawkmen, Adventures in the Secret Service, Daredevils of the Desert, Tales of Innocence, Masks of Evil, Treasure of the Peacock’s Eye, Mystery of the Blues and Hollywood Follies. You can find out more about the Young Indiana Jones videos at www.indianajones.com.
* Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine - The computer game for PC Windows continues Indiana Jones’ adventures and pits him against the Soviets in a race to find a Babylonian device. Locating the game will probably be easiest to find in a computer or electronics store. Ask around.
* Indiana Jones paperback books - Quests of Indiana Jones were continued in a series of paperback novels in the earlier 1990s. Written by authors such as Max McCoy and Rob McGregor, the archaeologist finds himself searching for dinosaur eggs, unicorns and beat Harry Potter to the punch by searching for the philosopher’s (sorcerer’s) stone.
* George Lucas: The Creative Impulse: Lucasfilm’s First 20 Years - The book chronicles the history of Indiana Jones creator George Lucas and his film company. Films from THX 1138 to Willow are profiled. Makes a great coffee table book.
