Dressing for Successother work from home jobs. Instead of just getting dressed when you usually do, in your usual clothes, and doing it out of habit, stop. Stop and think about what you are doing. Is showering really the best use of this time? Would showering later really help you be more productive? Are these clothes really expressing your "inner" you? Is your mind set more productive because of your clothing choices and when you shower or get cleaned up? All too often, we go through life with blinders on. New indexers have often started taking off those blinders, but only in regard to their jobs. Extend your new way of thinking to all areas of your life, including your personal hygiene and clothing choices. You may discover new sides of your inner you that you've been suppressing, and didn't realize it. And as you start incorporating these conscious choices, you will find yourself being much more productive in getting your indexing business off the ground. Since we usually don't meet with clients or other professionals during the course of our work, dressing however we choose is one of the ultimate benefits of being an indexer. Finally, don't discount the benefits of having a "uniform" to work in. If you buy scrubs and similar comfortable uniforms, these are actually tax deductable. You can save your everyday non-tax deductible clothes for going out, and use your tax deductable uniforms for working in. You cannot deduct jeans, tops, and such. But, uniforms are a tax deduction. However, you should check with your accountant for more information on what constitutes "uniforms" for tax deduction purposes. As you can see, there's no reason to just blindly accept the social expectation of hygiene timing and dress codes in the advice given by Clubmoms at the beginning of this article. You should do what's best for you, your productivity, and your business' bottom line. article written by Dawn Spencer
