Business Disaster Preparedness--Part 7One final disaster has befallen me. On travel, I left a critical file at home, and critical pieces of information. Never leave home without a plan. My plan is that my family, who live next door, have the key to our place. They went over to my office, and called me on my cellphone, then I talked them through to where the information or file was. Disaster averted. If you don't have this luxury, you need a plan. Do any of these things mentioned in this and the previous articles sound like potential nightmares to you? They can be unless you are prepared. You can lose a great client, particularly if several of these situations hit you at once, and you've never given any of them a second thought. Some things you might not have an immediate solution for. But, start thinking about it. Start talking with other indexers about how they've handled similar situations. Start putting together a business disaster preparedness plan today!
