Speed 2they do. They love business. This doesn't make them workaholics, nor do they work a lot of hours for unhealthy reasons like a workaholic does. It's not substitute for something. They aren't in denial. They really, simply love what they do, and love running a business. They love their business as much as someone else loves counted-cross-stitch or horseback riding. Because of working longer hours for the sheer joy of it, indexers in this category will also move through a lot more material than an indexer who chooses to limit the number of hours they work. It can mean the difference between indexing 100 pages per week, or 500 pages a week or more. Don't get frustrated at the choices others make. Realize that you, too, can make those same choices, and it is/was your choice to do things differently. This isn't a judgmental issue against other indexers. It's not about feeling righteous because you take time for your family. Remember, they may not have the family responsibilities you have. Family situations and lifestyle preferences are everyone's choice.
