Greetings!

Welcome to my article about great entertainment images on the web. In these articles, I try to point you all toward great sites that have lots of entertainment images.
Okay, if you're going to be collecting, editing, and using images, there are some tools that you should have. I've covered some of these individually in past articles, but now I've gathered them together in one place.
Let's start with the must have program for any image editing Adobe Photoshop. This is the best image editor you will ever find. It's the industry standard for digital imaging. Some people say that Paint Shop Pro, or Acme Paint, or whatever other program is just as good. That's crap. You're either using Photoshop, or you're not. If you're not, you should be. It's like comparing a luxury car and a skate board. Both will get you where you want to go, but that's where the comparison ends. Photoshop is a little expensive, but it's the best, and the more you use it, the more great features you use. Get Photoshop!
No image editing program can touch Photoshop, but If you're looking for a quick and dirty editor with a very small footprint, L-View Pro is definitely the one. It's really more of a viewer than an editor, but it can do both. So if you don't have a lot of space, or you need something that you can easily take with you, get L-View Pro. It's a great little program.
It was pointed out to me that L-view is a PC only program. Well, if you're using a mac (macs rule, but I don't have one *sniffle*) GraphicConverter looks like it's similar to L-view Pro. I haven't used it myself, but it has impressive credentials on the site. So if you're looking for a cheap, portable image tool for your mac, check it out!
Once your image collection gets to a large enough size, or if you frequently work with a lot of images like I do, you need Thumbs Plus. Thumbs Plus lets you view thumbnails of all of the images in a chosen directory. It's very useful for anyone with a lot of graphics on their hard drive. It's one of my most used programs, it really rocks! When you're trying to find a specific image, it's indespensible, so check it out!
The last tool on this list, I only recently discovered. Cool 3D is a great program that makes it unbelievably easy to make 3D text for your imaging projects! It has a zillion options, and it's so easy to use. You can even wrap your favorite entertainment image around the 3d text, or set a great image as the background. It makes animated text really easy too, but I'd be wary of overanimating your website or other imaging project. You don't want people to get motion sickness! Check this program out, you'll never know what you did without it!
