Welcome to my article about great entertainment images on the Web. In these articles, I try to point you all toward great sites that have lots of entertainment images.
Well, I've found a few interesting bits of news and links for you today.
First of all, I don't know when it happened, but image search engines Arribavista and Ditto are now one engine, Ditto. But with pretty much all good engines incorporating multimedia searching these days, I guess it doesn't really matter much now.
I've always spread the word that Webring was a great source of pictures, but it's crap now. Like rats from a sinking (and burning) ship, everyone's quitting Webring since Yahoo bought it. See, now you can't use your own graphics or anything, just some crappy Yahoo propaganda. And you have to get a (free but lame) Yahoo membership just to be part of a ring. Yet another good thing ruined by overzealous commercialism.
If you're into the new X-Files spinoff The Lone Gunmen, then check out Cinescape for lots of high quality pictures from the show.
I recently found a site that all of you need to check out! Amazing Sci-Fi art that'll blow your mind, and desktop wallpaper sized too! You have to see The Don Dixon Gallery!
If you have some spare time and want to look for some cool sci-fi and fantasy pictures, check out Fantasyhoo. It's a genre specific index of cool sites!
If you're an artist like me, you have to check out F.A.R.P.. It's a free guide to fantasy&scifi art creation, history, techniques and more. They've got some really great articles there!
Want to find more sci-fi art than you can ever see at once? Look no farther than Zone 47! ...and Lothlorien is the same thing for fantasy art! You can spend your whole life at these two. Bigtime art fans could lose their job if they found this site, they won't want to leave.
