Okay, time for a little image housekeeping. If you're anything like me, you've got a huge image folder of stuff that you found out there as you travelled the web. Well, it's hightime you weeded out the crap and sorted out everything, and I know just the tools for the job.
First, the master of all image tools. I just couldn't go without a copy of Thumbs Plus on my machine. It lets you view thumbnails or slideshows of your image collection, as well as basic stuff like cropping and rotation. It'll also whip up a thumbnail image gallery web page in no time! Don't go without this puppy if you've got pictures.
Okay, so you've gone through your collection with Thumbs Plus and you think it'spretty tight. Well, there could still be duplicate files with different names. Find and get rid of those space wasting duplicates with Unique Filer.
Now we're almost there, everything's organized, the crap is gone and there aren't any doubles. But everything has a different file name. Wouldn't it be better if they were just numbered? It'd be a lot more organized. Well, all you need for that is Namewiz. It'll rename batches of files in a snap.
If you happen to have a cd burner, you'll have a perfectly organized image gallery on disc now! I've made a few of these myself.
