A few quick reviews...

Welcome to my article about great entertainment images on the Web. In these articles, I try to point you all toward great sites that have lots of entertainment images.

Well, like all of you probably are, I'm swamped with things I have to do during the holiday season. So this article will be a little short. Here are reviews for some magazines that I bought recently...

Cinescape November/December '99
I used to love this mag, but it's become disappointing lately. They try to cover too much, and end up with not enough coverage of any one thing. It seems to me that they just have too broad a focus. I only bought this issue for the End of Days content which is ok, but only ok. This issue has some good pics from Pitch Black, Galaxy Quest and Sleepy Hollow. Overall, I'd have to say skip the magazine and just check out the website. ($6.50 Canadian)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Winter '99
I'm a big fan of the show, and the magazine is cool but it's not what it could be. It's a mere 65 pages and it looks like 30 pages of content has been stretched to fit. The Buffy people should take a look at Star Trek Magazine to see how things should be done. What content there is is pretty good. I especially liked the article about how the make up is done on the show. It's a great mag, it just needs to be beefed up. If you like the show, get the mag. ($6.95 Canadian)

Starlog #269
Starlog is always full of great pictures. This issue has great pictures from Futurama, Toy Story 2, Galaxy Quest, Star Trek: Voyager, Hercules and more. Overall, a great issue and well worth buying. ($9.99 Canadian)
