Ressurected! (and more...)

Greetings!

Welcome to my article about great entertainment images on the Web. In these articles, I try to point you all toward great sites that have lots of entertainment images.

Well, I've just discovered that the Movie BBS, which was recently closed and declared dead has risen from it's grave. It's back, but with a lot of it's content missing. Whether or not it will return to it's former state remains to be seen. This is the first time I've seen a site go down and actually return, let's hope that the site becomes as good as it used to be.

Just when I think I've seen all of the great image sources on the web, I find more! Just recently, I found Gifpile. It's a huge resource for many kinds of images. It has section about Dragons, Countries, Fine Art, and a lot more! Each subcategory has a huge list of sites with images. This is a very extensive site. I'm surprised that I didn't come across it earlier. The site also has a lot of backgrounds and such for web page designers, as well as some good links to help with your site construction and upkeep. I also recently discovered that Lycos has a pretty large image gallery. Check out their large Movie and TV Gallery! Oh, and before I forget, I've put up a new page. If you're looking for cool pictures from Star Trek: First Contact, check out my First Contact page! As well as pictures, there's also an excellent quality mpeg video clip from First Contact on the page. Watch for the next article for more great image links.

Now for the regular review of entertainment magazines. These are magazines that I bought recently, and the opinions expressed are mine only.

Sci-Fi Entertainment June '99
This issue has a few really excellent pictures from The Matrix that I haven't seen elsewhere. That's why I bought it, and it was worth it. The article about The Matrix is cool, and there are other various pictures (Star Trek TNG, various other movies and shows) that make this issue well worth buying. ($4.99 Canadian)

Sci-Fi TV #6
This magazine is one of the best offline image sources around! This issue is no exception. It has excellent pictures from Star Trek DS9, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Xena, Star Trek Voyager, Babylon 5 and more! I highly recommend this magazine!
