A Great Thing Has Happened

There is a catch. If he loses, players can hold out whenever they want because the precedent is that a hockey player won a case where he was sued for not playing while under contract.

Unfortunately, Canadian laws don't apply to American teams and Keith Tkachuk could strike again. If a player does this in the States, someone should take the initiative, sue them, and get the precedent set. Remember, Canadian and U.S. Law are based on precedents. Once it has been set, it can be a victory forever for the fans.
