I Was Wrong. The OHL is too Violent.

After a nice 1 week vacation, welcome to the new Suite, and enjoy your stay. I know I'll enjoy it here, with some new cool features added. Thanx to all who participated in the poll. I thought adding the scores from the previous night would be a good idea, but I thought of it on a night when there were no games on the west coast. So, nix that.

I'm sure you can tell by the little thing on the welcome page, I'm starting a contest today, so after you read this, why don't you go on over and take a look at it. It's a neat book, which I've been getting for the last 5 years, which helps me in more ways than writing my articles. I also win hockey trivia contests just by looking through it.

It's sure been a wild season in hockey, and it's only a month old. After an amazing start, and then a quick slump, just what exactly will happen with the Leafs this year? Will they trade Potvin? Who for? Also, what's happening to Patrick Roy? Once considered the greatest goalie currently in the NHL, Colorado now has the highest GAA of all teams in the NHL. San Jose took a month to win, Ziggy Palffy is still gone, Pavel Bure hasn't gone anywhere, a whole bunch of junior and minor pro teams are enjoying practicing with disgruntled players, and Jeff Kugel is watching more wrestling to see if there are any other wrestlers he can imitate so he can get banned from another league. The Ice Dogs weren't joking when they miraculously won their first game, coincidentally their home opener. They're amazing at home, tying their next game, losing the next one, but pathetic on the road. No Europeans on the team. BTW, San Jose, currently last in the NHL, has the most Canadians on their roster of any team in the NHL. Don't drop dead on us Grapes.

Right now, I want to talk about now former Windsor Spitfires' Jeff Kugel. Facing the Owen Sound Platers on October 25th in Windsor, the 6'7", 252 lb. Kugel left the bench during a fight, and went right after Juri Golicic, who had his back to Kugel at the time. Kugel punched him once in the back of the head, and a second time in the face when Golicic was on his way down to the ice. Kugel did what looked to me like a little Stone Cold Steve Austin bit, swinging his arms in the air, ripping off his helmet, and chasing the first guy he saw, Chris Minard, for a bit. Minard ran for his life, and realizing he wouldn't catch him, Kugel stopped at centre ice, raising his arms in the air, challenging anyone to take him.
