Lillian stopped by with creativity. She asked for a quilt created by RoseMeade. Quilting was something that I learned to do while ill. One by one, these angels needed or wanted an original quilt made by RoseMeade. Carol was sent to teach me how to think 'outside the box' and then there was finally Jo. Jo was the last of the thirty-four ladies divinely sent by the Great Teacher. Jo was the lady God sent right after I had pled and won my disability case with the Social Security Board. She brought me a new and different kind of medicine by questioning my belief systems that I had gotten while in the 12-step programs. She questioned some of my beliefs based on my understandings of the bible too. Jo led me deeper in my Secret Garden. Jo taught me to stop leaning on outside answers and to look further for the truth to be inside in my own reality.

First, in order to honor these women and their guidance and care, I needed to quit trying to die. Step by step, day by day and even hour by hour, I would go to my Secret Garden, get alone with God, and thank Him for the angels loaned to me. I began to believe these angels were there temporarily to work through God to grant me my health. I knew for the first time my added attitude of gratitude became an ingredient used to heal me. My humbleness became a pill instead of the other pill that was sitting in the tin can. One pill by one pill, I was able to give up my dependence and need for most of the prescriptions. To show Him my gratitude, I began to take the things that were in my lifestyle, mind, heart and spirit that were killing me and I put them one by one by the wayside. Instead was added the belief that I was worthy of life instead of death or illness.

Soon the ladies made shorter visits with longer periods between each of the visits. My next awesome gift was a new wonderful loving family. More about that next month though. Nevertheless, each morning of my life, the first thing I still do is to go to my Secret Garden. That wonderful secret closet where He leads me to know RoseMeade was healed by the very method that Lazarus was. He provided real love, solid faith and hopeful courage so that I might throw away my cane and walk again. For this, I will be forever grateful.
