Now, you may at this point be wondering, what does this have to do with rage?

Try the process and see! See if you start feeling angry or rageful at the fact your life has revolved so long around illness you find it even hard to think of something else to talk about with the people around you. See if you do not find you have been talking more than listening. Listen.

Since a good part of your life has been revolving around illness and your need to share about it with others in order to get compassion, it was almost impossible to learn to listen. Practice.

Practice caring more about what others might have to say than what you have to say. What process then will start to take place is you will be developing the very compassion you sought. You will have arrived at one of your first solutions and it is my promise your health will begin to improve. The listener is an important person who generally gets a lot of attention. The attention will come when you are listening to others and not telling others about your illness. Someday you will find yourself wanting to talk about your health. Try it -- listen to others... then write to me and let me know how this process works for you. I am interested. After all, I am a listener now.
