What brings about a rush of emotion that starts quick as lightning? It is anger. Lightning happens in a way you never know exactly when it will flash. What emotion is so uncomfortable it seems to take forever to leave - even when you want it to go? It is anger.
Rage seems to have these lightning bolt traits as well. When there is a rain storm, there is not always lightning. In the same manner, anger is possible without rage. However, rage is not possible without anger. This article has a mission of showing how personality traits of a hypochondriac have a natural progression. Those who find themselves stuck in the blame and shame belief systems oftentimes slide into anger then right on into rage. This article (my third in a series) is presented to you as a worded picture of rage. In this worded picture I will provide a deeper understanding of anger and rage and show you how both of these emotions tie into hypochondria. Hypochondria is, after all, my chosen subject to introduce on Suite101.com. Shame and Blame were presented in my two previous articles as women with deep emotions difficult to see by people who did not understand or were not familiar with hypochondria. Understanding how Shame and Blame were connected to hypochondria and to those staying ill is paramount to being able to provide help to those suffering. For those who are reading this article that might be stuck in the grip of staying ill, the importance lies in understanding the connection to anger. Understanding connections of one personality trait to another will bring about health. Naturally, by learning what may have been a pattern and being able to stop the pattern, a person actually has a chance to heal. The loosening of anger and rage can relieve the aching back, pain in the neck areas, or even heal hives. Illnesses such as constant headaches are also common to those suffering from hypochondria. I am here today to introduce one of the male characters of hypochondria. Ladies and Gentlemen - meet Randolph Rage. Randolph Rage is a man in his fifties with a set of parents most men dream of having. Randolph's father Harold was thirty when he finally gave in and married Cecilia. At thirty-three Cecilia became an attorney for the armed forces. Later, the family got tired of moving from one army base to another and they settled down in New Jersey. Harold's father had been a colonel in the army. When Randolph was only four or five, his father began to have aspirations of Randolph becoming an officer as well. Their whole family wanted Randolph to carry on the family tradition.
