***CAUTION: Indoor Hydroponics Moss & Algae ("Boggish") Gardens should not be grown in certain areas where harmful Fungi, Moulds, etc. may grow!***

And the battle rages on, ever more vigorously, in this no-holds-barred battle-of-the-species fight-to-the-finish. Alga versus Moss, Moss versus Lichen, Lichen versus Fungus, it’s like a big bog mayhem jamboree in there. Many different types of freakishly diversified species have emerged, but who or what (or even which for that matter) will emerge victorious as the dominant organism? If they had teeth & nails, they could be described as to be fighting tooth-&-nail, but they obviously don’t.

At this point, the Black Goo is making gains on the lush green carpet-like masses, while the leafy spreaders(see pic’s) and fuzzy mountains are making their ins as well. The “Little Pine Trees” are running rampant over the wild, untamed nether-regions.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

To cast some light & dwell upon the technical aspects of this “Boggish” garden for a moment, I have changed the fertilizer nutrient solution once, just for fun, as well as continuing to refrain from bothering to check the pH, because that would be redundant when I don’t really care what grows in my garden, just as long as something does, and can thusly allow the pH to fluctuate wildly if it will with no restraint. If nothing were growing, or if my plants, etc. looked like they were not enjoying the soil media particularly, I would probably check the pH. If my pH were to be “off”, I would likely do a soil media pH test by soaking it in a water sample with known pH to see if I could possibly adjust my mix, or add additional amendment constituents to balance its acidity/alkalinity(basicity). The truth be told, I have confidence from previous experience that my mix of Perlite(Pearlite), Vermiculite(from the Latin for Worm), Sphagnum Peat Moss, Dolomitic limestone, & Algal remains is very well pH buffered and consistently uniform in overall performance.

Upcoming articles will deal with benches, alien invaders, and weird stuff you might find in your reservoir.
