The Baradla Cave (Aggtelek-Jósvafö)
The varied stalactite and stalagmite formations were named on the basis of what their shapes remind of. The most beautiful are the Observatory, which is the largest dripstone formation of Hungary with its 19 m high, the Giants' Hall, the largest in Hungary, the Chinese Pagoda, the Hall of Columns, the Xylophone, and the Concert Hall. The surface of the cave system offers lot of interesting things like geological forms, animals and plants. Aggtelek is about 250 km far from Budapest and 55 km far from Miskolc. Car users may drive on the road No 27 from Miskolc. There are also direct bus connection with Budapest and Miskolc.
