In a couple of weeks I will be at a family
reunion. We will be celebrating Christmas
with all the Trimmings, Tree, Turkey and
everything. Because of this, My thoughts
went to New Years Eve and Resolutions.
The results of those thoughts follows:
The approach of a New Year is the time to reflect on the one about to end. It is a time to make comittments to ourselves to improve the quality of our lives and to make a contribution to the world in which we live. As the start of a brand new year approaches our thoughts turn to resolutions. This is the year we quit smoking. This is the year we become kinder to those with whom we are not in complete agreement. This is the year we will devote more time to family. THIS IS THE YEAR WE WILL BECOME SUCCESSFUL ON THE INTERNET. Please be assured that I am going to practice what I preach. My Internet business is primarily devoted to creating web sites for new e-businesses and reworking existing web sites. Also, I publish a weekly ezine that provides resources for readers. BUT, as the New Year approaches, I am resolving to make time to thoroughly review what my site has to offer. These are my resolutions and I suggest you create a similar list for yourself. 1) Since I have at my disposal a wealth of information that many new people on the web are not aware of, I will make it available to the general public on my site. 2) I will devote 1 hour of my day - 5 days a week to promotion and I will schedule this into my daily work routine. 3) I will subscribe to every ezine that even remotely relates to my Internet business; gleaning what I can from each of them and just as faithfully Unsubscribing to those that do not have anything useful to offer. 4) I will faithfully use my to-do list, adding and checking off things as I accomplish them throughout my day. This is a recently reestablished habit that I will not turn loose of again, knowing that it has been the primary reason for every success throughout my life. 5) I will take a period of at least one day to go through my web site, looking at it as a would be customer. I will grade each and every page on a scale of one to ten in the following categories: Load time Ease of Navigation How much I give back to my Customers Interesting Content Eye appleal Choice of Affiliates Trustworthiness 6) I will review my site again as the owner of my business and ask myself the following questions: Go To Page: 1 2
